Ooooh wow it's already Day 16? :)
Despite the number of times I've missed doing the challenge, I still want to go on with it, and for today, we're talking beauty! Unlike most of the blogs I follow, I am on the fence about beauty products, as I don't buy a lot of high end brands, but they work well for me.
Today's challenge asks for my favourite beauty products, and I am excited to share mine! :)
First one off the list is a local product, Celeteque Hydration moisturiser--I swear by this brand's products! It is gentle, and absorbs quickly. It has a dewy finish, making my face feel soft and fresh, even during mid-afternoon, when it's hot and sticky (something that a girl who lives in a tropical climate should have to live with). Best of all, it doesn't make my skin oily! I have combination skin, so I need to get skincare products that are able to lock in moisture without that greasy feel. Celeteque does it so well. I do believe they are at par with most powerhouse skincare brands.
Avon's Ideal Luminous Foundation in Shell is my favourite foundation. Not only does it have a very natural shade that's close to my skintone, it gives a glowing, radiant look that makes it look like that I slept well (even if I didn't, hahaha), and I looked refreshed. There are times when I do away with foundation, and use Garnier's Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. This one feels like second skin, and given my combination skin dilemma that I mentioned earlier, it's not greasy, so yay! :) There are two downsides to this product: first, it's a bit runny so it easily spills out from the tube. Second, it's been discontinued, according to the Garnier USA website. Sadness!
Before I put on foundation though, I use primer. I use Maybelline's Baby Skin Pore Eraser primer. This one lives up to its name, and I can't sing enough praises. Plus, it makes makeup application lots easier!
To put colour in my cheeks, there's Revlon's Photoready Cream Blush in Coral Reef. Just a faint smidge (or three) of the blush, and you'll have that natural peachy glow.
And finally, lipstick. I swear, they're not paying me for this, but I really, really love Maybelline's Creamy Matte lipsticks. The latest shade I bought--Touch of Spice is nearly matches my natural lip colour--so, who can resist that, guys? Who? :p
This is me wearing some of the products listed above. :)
So, these are my favourites. What's yours? Come, let's about it! :)
